I had my first set of classes for the semester today and I'm like really really excited.
The one that'd interest you guys the most, though, was called Intro to Computer Music, taught by some Professor Dannenberg, who, I believe, was one of the guys who founded and wrote most of Audacity.
The course is all about using this language called Nyquist to create algorithmic music. I'm hoping it'll give me some creative inspiration - I suspect that doing projects in Nyquist will result in me thinking differently about music in FL Studio.
Other classes include Parallel Algorithms/Data Structures, Systems Programming and Roots of Rock & Roll (1843 - 1970). I'm also TAing (well, technically CAing but almost the same thing) the intro computer science course I took last semester. It's going to be a goooooood few months :)
