Happy New Year, guys.

No fireworks seen in Beijing, though. Such things will happen on Chinese New Year.

I thought Newgrounds was blocked in China.

Was it?

The Chinese government has no reason to block NG, since NG is not a site for propaganda against China (unlike YT, FB and Twitter) - after all, they can't ever make a Chinese version of Newgrounds. If you think F-777 uses a proxy/VPN to get onto NG and submit his audio, you're wrong.

Speaking of China, it'd been the coldest December Beijing has ever met.

Pic of my early route to school at 6:40 in the morning, mid-December. There's actually been snow falling, unlike previous year's dry month.

My neighborhood is quite underpopulated compared to other neighborhoods.

I scared them away. They thought I was going to kill them with my semi-automatic Glock 19 pistol.

but I kid. The real reason is because the temperature is fucking cold in the morning.

I assume that's Fahrenheit... and even if it is... wow... that's considered cold in China?

.. I need to move. That's an average winter day here. Our "fucking cold" is -40.

No, Celsius...

But yes, that's considered cold in Beijing (it's colder than -30 in northern areas of China such as Harbin). This is the coldest winter Beijing has ever encountered in its Modern era. I personally don't find it inconvinient, but the majority does, and a lot of people are getting colds, with everyday at least one student absent due to sickness. Previous year's temperature hovered around -5 C.

Canada, eh? Which city? Toronto is warmer than Beijing.

That's t-shirt weather!

I'm in Alberta... the crazy weather area of Canada, +35 during the summer, -40 during winter (Celcius). Also... snow in July, none in December (Sometimes).

This place sucks, I'm gonna come live with you, I'm already packed... actually, I'm landing in Beijing right now... come pick me up.

Wtf, I rather commit suicide than wearing a T-shirt outside with a temperature lower than -10.

How many layers of clothes do you even wear in such a heavenly environment?

It feels good when the last couple weeks have been around -25- -30.

How many layers of clothes do you even wear in such a heavenly environment?

On really cold days where I need to go somewhere (Work, shopping, whatever)... I usually leave the house wearing lined pants, long sleeve shirt, hoodie/sweater, parka, toque, and winter gloves... Of course it doesn't help that my vehicle's heater doesn't work... and I really hate being cold first thing in the morning.

I. DO. NOT. RECOMMEND.

Too late for that... Come pick me up, I'll buy a gas mask on the way to your place.

No, this must be a total lie. I've heard rumors that human ears can fall off if such cold winds hit the face for too long and too strong.

Walk to work, then. I have to walk one hour in order to get to my school. Try it out and feel my pain (cold, that is).

But I don't even drive.

In -30 to -40 maybe... anything above that is child's play.

I'd walk to work with a light jacket on in your definition of cold. Also... when I was in highschool, I walked to school in -35.

But I don't even drive.

No excuses!

Seriously though... it's funny seeing everyone's definition of cold/warm weather when you come from different areas of the world. My boss, for example, is from the middle east, he's wearing a toque and a heavy sweater inside the building when it's -10 out, and I'll be taking off as much as is legal in public cause I'm too hot... I was born and raised here.

Hell, I prefer cold weather, because you can layer up to keep warm. When it's too hot, you can only go so far without getting arrested.

I beg to differ. A majority of the human race would argue against such a bold statement.

Er...your boss is a bit insane. I just wear a T-shirt with a thin jacket in such conditions.

Hell, I prefer cold weather, because you can layer up to keep warm. When it's too hot, you can only go so far without getting arrested.

But I prefer hot weather, mainly because I can turn on the air conditioner and achieve perfect temperature (22 Celsius for me). I've been raised in the Netherlands, Aruba and now China for 5 years (all of them, 5 exact years) thus giving me a rather average resistance to both heat and cold.

When I wake up in the early morning, it'll always feel like it's 0 C when it's actually 20 C. It's awful. It's the primary reason why I hate winter...

Since you have strong cold resistance, I'm assuming you don't have much heat resistence. Can you even stand 35 C with dry climates?

The majority of the human race doesn't live in Canada. ;3

Not at all. I pretty much completely shut down in anything above 30 C.

I grew up in the desert (Las Vegas, NV), so heat is nothing for me. I've done manual labor with temperatures around 40 C. Cold though....ugh....Anything lower than -15 C would be horrible to me. I can't even fathom -40...

Oh, and happy New Year everyone! ^_^

I managed to get really drunk. I sing quite well apparently; I'm quite the happy silly drunk. Unfortunately I took it a little too far and my stomach resisted a little bit later that evening...

Welp, happy new years everyone even though it's already tomorrow.

I've had a so-so experience for the past 4 years or so, but I'd imagine the long break after the finals can net me some "me" time.
