Talented people who stick to their craft will always get big I think. Of course it helps if their particular craft is one that's currently popular, but still.

On another note, am I right in thinking you're taking a little step back to calm down a bit? I'd imagine that all that touring would really wear one out over such an extended period of time. Good to be home I suppose? :p

I can look at sweet stuff (instruments) for hours on the internet, but truth be told, I should keep my entertainment spending on a low for a bit. Don't want to get to the end of the tax year and find I don't have enough money to pay all my taxes. I get paid the gross amount from DI, so I have to hand in my taxes on a yearly basis in the UK; result is that it'll be a big wad of cash in one go, and I need to make sure I've got that money put aside.

I meant drawing the circle itself. It looked like a cluster of nonsense. Really its just the father charles thing repeated like 5 or 6 times.

Father Charles Goes Down And Ends Battle.

Then reverse it:
Battle Ends And Down Goes Charles Father.

Since I'm not exactly well-read on music theory, would you mind explaining this (in plain English, if possible)?

not gonna Google this because the internets are scary

I think it's sort of a scheme for how many flats ore sharps there are in each key. You can use it for some other things as well, but I don't remember much of it.

You use it to modulate things.

So referring to the image Buoy linked, it explains how mare flat/sharp keys of a certain note are there, over varying octaves then?

modulate literally means "to change"

its the dumbest most inconclusive word in musical jargon

so yes, changing pitch (or scale) is a modulation

It tells you how many flats or sharps there are for each scale/key (per octave).

Btw when I say key I mean scale, not an individual key on an instrument. (Confusing? Yeah.)

Now modulation's something else that I don't get. How does it work/What the purpose of it?

Modulating can have many different meanings in music. It depends on the context. Generally it means to change pitch (to transpose). Like if a song is written in E flat, it's based around the E flat scale/key. If you want to play it in D, you need to shift each note halve a tone down.

You can also modulate within a song. In some cheesy pop-songs they repeat the chorus, but they transpose it a few tones upwards. This is for an uplifting effect or something.

On key instruments there often is a modulation wheel. This is to add vibrato, and has nothing to do with the aforementioned definitions.

I think there are more meanings of the word modulation, but those are less common and I don't know all of them.

Yeah, when I did it, my serial was emailed to me practically instantly. The Waves Account page was overloading and took me about half an hour before I could access the server. There are posts on the interwebz complaining that their emails with the serials have not arrived yet.

For having only one knob, it's not a bad plugin.

try to have as little as possible on days where you can afford being a bit sleepy/unproductive or you'll have little use for it when you've built up a massive tolerance
