What's 10 minutes compared to the time you spend producing it? Imagine what it's like for video producers.

Also I think the CPU is a bit more relevant than RAM if it comes to rendering.

Maybe you should stop using super inefficient generators / fx then.

Bullshit. Even overclocked that doesnt compare to anything "state of the art." They put those processors in the cheap pre-assembled PCs that cost like 600-800 bucks. I've got a 2 year old computer with a better processor then that.

Nope not since 10.5. You can bridge any plugin to allocate its RAM to a seperate 'IL Bridge' process. Allowing any amount of RAM. Although without that, yes you are limited to 4gigs if you simply run the extended memory version of FL, 2 gigs if you dont.

Started working at a warehouse today. It's a 12 hour shift starting at 5:00 AM, and we can't bring any electronics/music.

Having a job is nice and all, but this made me realize how badly I want to make money from music...

I don't mean to complain. Due to breaking three bones, I've been out of work for months now. I have thousands of dollars in debt that have piled up as a result, so I'm thankful to finally have an income.

My main point is that I think I'm finding the drive to pursue music seriously.

Best of luck with the job search though. I know that it sucks. :-/
(Have you tried going through a temp/staffing agency? That was helpful to me)

Internet blocked

This morning i started up my browser.. to see a message from my internet provider.
''Your internet usage has been limited due to a security threat''
I know we're all being monitored and stuff, but to actually see it.. that's scary.
But yeah, it said one of the PCs on our network had malicious malware or a rootkit on it.
Anyway, there were instructions what to do. I scanned all the PCs on my network and my PC indeed had a rootkit, which i deleted. Formatted the whole partition and reinstalled windows, just to be safe.
I mailed them and they removed the blockage. Took about 2 hours.

I kind of half-grinned but made no audible indication of amusement. So half a point in your favor from me.

Someone got my bank account information via a virus on my computer and tried using it to make a five thousand dollar purchase. Thankfully, my bank thought it looked suspicious being on the other side of the country and all and gave me a call. They stopped the transaction and opened up a new account for me.

Viruses suck. :/

I haven't had a virus in 2 years. I only go on like 5 websites and whenever I download *cough* anything I take my time and make sure it is legit.

Say what now? You can be paid shitloads of money, but be pressed so hard that you really have no time left to actually do anything in your personal life. If you're working hard non-stop so you're absolutely wrecked when you get off work, leaving no chance to do what you want to do, would you enjoy the job? It'd take over your life, and while you may have plenty of money coming in, there'd be no chance to actually enjoy it.

I'd think that's complaining-worthy.

You mean that Image-Line hasn't released a 64-bit friendly version of their software yet? GB and Live are a rollin' with laughter right now, if that's true.

They're working on it.

Anyway, us FL Studio users have this piece of sound-manipulation heaven to make up for it.

Constructive criticism

I was clicking "Random" on wikihow, and ran into this gem, which applies well to audio reviews: How to criticize constructively.

Thought y'all might find it a good read.
