My uncle's a fucking jackass.

So basically he got all depressed when my grandma died, understandable, right? But then he decides that he needs to get married right away, so he does.

20 years pass, he has three girls, one of which has a severe health issue, and then suddenly wants to divorce. Why? Because he thinks that he doesn't need to be married anymore, he just wanted someone to love for his depressions to ease with. Way to use a lovely woman as a tool.

So after these years, he finally takes off his mask and wants to leave a great wife and three young girls behind with nothing to support themselves with. It's assholes like my uncle that make my blood turn to fire and want to rip his spinal cord out. It's piece of shit scum like my uncle that make this world a bad place.

Are there any family members that you deeply, truly hate and are ashamed to be a relative of?

I guess there really isn't anyone. Those who left, have already done so. One of my uncles showed up at my dads house randomly once, claimed he had just recovered from a coma. Every week we would have mafioso looking people coming to the door and asking about him. When he left, I guess he stole a few things of my dads. Oh well, dissapeared again.

But really, haven't had that much trouble in the family. Noone's divorced except for my parents, and as much as that sucked, they just weren't right for eachother. My stepdad was an asshole, I wanted to kill him every single day of my life, but hes dead now, so, my younger brothers are out a father...Kinda sad...To my knowledge, he drank himself to death. Asshole.

I can get pissed off at certain relatives at times, but it blows over, they all have both good and bad qualities, which ones they use more shift like the wind. You're uncle sounds like a pretty impulsive person . . .

if he doesn't want to be their dad/husband anymore, he probably shouldn't be. His family is most likely perceptive of his indifference to them anyway. He should have to pay child support, and depending on state laws and prenuptial agreements the wife is usually given compensation(most likely a better word for it), so financially they shouldn't be totally left hanging. As for your uncle's character, well, there are a lot of shitty people out there. The odds you're related to one are pretty high.
