Hello,
I am attempting to output a simple .jpg file from whatever is currently happening in the Flash .swf

It doesn't have to be anything crazy, it is to take a snapshot of a still image after data is processed.
Everything that I have seen so far outputs to a .php file and the user cannot access the .jpg file.

Can anybody help?

Why don't you catch a Print Screen shot? And then edit it in paint. Am I completely not getting the point?

It is supposed to be on a web server, so that the user can share that data with the other users.

Then what I said makes sense I think. Watch the movie.. when it gets to the point you want a make a jpg image out of stop it. Press Print Screen and then paste it in paint or GIMP or Photoshop. Crop it to the size you want it and voila.. I kinda think I'm making sense... Might not be.

No, that doesn't even make sense, I am not going to be the one even doing it, the users of the forums are going to.

It is to be a .swf posted on the web and they enter data, it is manipulated, then I want a snapshot taken of the output on my server so that the rest of the users can see it, link to it, etc.

I have read that already, it outputs the pixels to a .php file, where there is no .jpg involved, try to download the image after you created one.

Sephi's code works perfectly fine - it uses PHP to output a JPG file. However, that JPG file is not a permenant presence on the server. What you do with the output of a php script is a seperate issue.

You'll now need to shift your enquiry over to the programming forum with what to DO with all this data you have created, and how to save a copy of whatever you've created to your forum's images folders.
