I stripped my xbox down to the motherboard, now I need to buy some thermal compound so I can fix this shit. The heat sink wasn't soldered to the GPU at all, it just fell off when I removed the X clamps.

Hey did anybody else buy BlazBlue yet? I haven't really decided if I like it yet but plenty of my friends have it and I suppose I can learn to love it. For now I'm still learning basics, it's a lot like Guilty Gear, for obvious reasons, and it's a refreshing break from Street Fighter. I suppose I'll be wasting a lot of time offline with friends possibly earning a random secret achievement every once in a while.

And although I think I shouldn't even acknowledge his posts PhobicRaptor has me intrigued:

I realize this means a lot to you "PhobicRaptor" but regardless of how you can prove that you're really who you claim to be (and arguing will get you nowhere) there's a reason this is called the official NG gamerscore leaderboard. Hang around for awhile, get your post count up to at least 500 (proving your involvement in the community) and you're more than welcome to join.

In the mean time if you're still upset that nobody believes you take a picture of your dashboard with a paper sign and date or something at least; if you were in our position would you really believe a same-day sign up abruptly posting here and claiming the top spot with nothing more than his word? Alternatively you could keep saying "shut the fuck up and add me" not that wouldn't provide any proof anyhow; we can already see that the account you're claiming has that score, but there's no way of knowing that it's actually yours.

All of this has got me thinking, not that we should need it except in unusual situations, but should we establish another way of signing up and validating your account? Like even something as simple as replying to a message sent to the account? (Not that I'd want to make that extra work necessary for Jawdyn, I mean, you already do enough.)

I went idle on the finale on Blood Harvest, but we died that round, and after starting again, I still got the achievement. Bricks were shat.

Or here's a super easy one, Phobic, why not send me a message via XBL saying this is PhobicRaptor from Newgrounds.com ? That'd instantly prove you have access to the account, and either way, still not get you on the list since you a) use gamesaves and b) don't have 500 posts.

Considering that BB has the best online of any fighting game out there, replay features, a decent ranking system and actually take more time to actually understand a character than SF4. It just has much more things going for it than IV.

Fuck, I think I messed up a full corruption run of Overlord so I can kiss that achievement goodbye. There's a sacred elven grove with an object in it. I killed the unicorns and grabbed the object and then realized that I could go back burn that shit down. Unfortunately it has me down for a good deed for retrieving the object without burning down the grove as well as an evil one for burning it down anyway. I'm hoping burning it down cancels out the good deed from keeping me a few points shy of 100% corruption.

Those achievements are so iffy and easy to miss, I only did a full corruption run and lost my patience going for the purity. (Unless you're talking about Overlord 2, which I haven't played yet and wouldn't know about.) IIRC, you have to take every decision opportunity and choose to be a dick or choose to be good EVERY TIME there's absolutely no middle ground, if you slip up once your run doesn't count for anything. Then again, if you still burn down the grove afterwords there's a chance it would make up for your previous deed, but I doubt anybody would be able to tell you for sure whether or not that would work, most people wouldn't find themselves in that situation.

I believe both Stamper and myself are going to be looking into BB.

Yeah, it's the first Overlord, I've read some iffy reviews for the second one that just came out. Not horrible, bur at best it's on par with the first. I'll still probably pick it up once it hits the bargain bin. Also, I think I'm in the clear to snag the full corruption achievement. I double checked a guide that gives you all the percentages for each deed and I have exactly what I should considering everything I've done. It's a good game, but I don't see myself playing again just for the zero corruption award let alone twice more for both.

Not long ago my gamerscore was 12345, but that cool number was ruined when I got The Orange Box's The One Free Bullet for 40G. It's now 12385. :(

Have you done that one for surviving the meteor bit with X% health remaining? Made me give up on the Platinum on PS3.
