Mainly because people know they can just put in a code for all the achievements on the PC versions, and then connect it to their XBL account.

Or just use the ad achievement command, you can even get the DLC achievements using the console if you dont have the DLC.

LEGO Star Wars takes a while to farm the later achievements.
Especially gathering the millions required for the later characters and Extras...

I don't support or approve that sort of stuff, but it doesn't take too much effort for people to work out where they are on the leaderboards if they discard matt from the equation.

Microsoft actually put a stop to that a while ago. People were gamesaving and selling accounts or competing for top spots on the leaderboards, people like StripClubDJ (who I actually talked to and helped with "Stuntman: Ignition" legitimately before the whole fiasco) were banned and had their gamerscore wiped out entirely. In his specific situation, he had a whole lot of gamerscore already because he had both a japanese and american 360 and imported a lot of games but he supplemented that with a lot of gamesaving as well and that's what got him wiped.

They have many systems in place now to catch that sort of thing early, and game saves have since tied to accounts/names to prevent it at the most basic levels. The best way to tell if anybody's legitimately playing or not on your own is to check achievement timestamps on xbox.com. If it just says "unlocked" with no date they did it offline and, obviously, if it's an online-only achievement, they're a dirty gamesaving prick.

See, I like achievements, but I can't fathom using cheats or codes or gamesaves to unlock something...every single achievement I have on my account is my own, that I personally unlocked. I like having it like that.

And they are all legit, no boosting or any nonsense like that.
