Matt, why do you have two Fallout 3's listed in your Played Games on Xbox LIVE? You've got a 1000 G one and another 520 G one.

Explain?

The PC version of fallout 3 counts as a separate game, and you can use cheats to unlock each of the achievements.

+100G from Velvet Assassin. I'm on the final part of the final mission now.

After I had a little scare where I didn't get the above 100G, I had found out I forgot a collectible at one of my checkpoints. Phew. That was scary.

Hee hee!
I've made almost 1000 GS in the last week, I'm going for WOTY, or atleast in the Top 5 :)

I've gone through and gotten every single achievement on Fallout 3, except for the bobbleheads, hacking 50 terminals, and the Pitt and Broken Steel DLC achievements. Went from 600 GS to 1025 in this one week. I think Fallout 3 might be the first game I get full GS on, and I'm just borrowing it from a friend :D

Also going through CoD 4 on veteran (also borrowed), Mile High Club here I come >:)

As you know or as you are about to learn, I void peoples Gamerscore earnings for the week if they have not signed in since before the last update. In this case, the last update was on the 22nd, whereas you haven't signed in since the 20th, therefore this voids your earnings and you cannot win WOTW.

Nice job though. ;)

Wow, Treyarch are ass. Holes.

I was hiding behind some sandbags on the Reichstag steps, and they gave me a checkpoint. I would normally celebrate, but unfortunately, each time I spawn, 4 or 5 grenades immediately land on my face. I can't run because I'm surrounded by enemies. The one time I DID manage to clear the top of the steps and wait for that scripted explosion, none came. The enemies JUST KEPT COMING.

And also is it worth doing it on bass? I've passed all songs on the disc first time round on guitar, (I think), could do bass to make sure but then would I commit suicide for the first two hours or so?

I wouldn't try it unless you're positive you can pass Visions no matter how destroyed your hands are. It didn't feel like it was taking a toll on me, but by the time I hit those last ten songs my hand started to hurt like a mother fucker. Fortunately I've played way too much guitar games over the last few years so I wasn't at risk of failing anything, but if I had I would have taken a shit on my Rock Band 2 disc and mailed it to Harmonix because the ES is torture and I refuse to ever touch it again (or at least until the ES3 comes out in RB's next iteration).

So to summarize my point just be confident in your ability to pass Visions because that's your only real challenge. Good rule of thumb, if you can five star it, you're golden. A solid four star's probably fine too though.

Of course, you could always try it on expert and if you fail out you can just rest up, finish up the last few songs for the completion achievements and then shoot for the Endless Setlist achievement on hard. Of course, that would require playing the Endless Setlist twice, which I wouldn't recommend unless you're some kind of demented masochist.

520 - 360 version, I only rented it and got that much out of it beforeI had to return it.

1,000 - PC version, I 100%'d it with no extra content. The only parts I used "cheats" for was quick leveling; because I had already played it on my 360 I didn't want to do the same thing over again, I essentially "rebuilt" my character at 20 with the same perks and armor.

At 6/24/09 08:29 PM, Stretchysumo wrote: The PC version of fallout 3 counts as a separate game, and you can use cheats to unlock each of the achievements.

You can't exactly trigger achievements by console commands however, you can use them to create shortcuts. Even then, most achievements were "finish mission X." There's no way to properly trigger that achievement other than actually doing "mission X."

Like I said before I had already gotten considerable progress on the 360 version during a rental, and it was fun. But when I got the PC version I decided to do the missions all over again, but I started out more or less where I left off level/ability-wise.

Games For Windows Live bullshit

I also forgot to mention that I have two "The Club" entries. I bought it for $1, seriously. Regardless of how short and "bad" that game was it was mindless fun and a bunch of achievement points for 1/8th the cost of your average xbl arcade game.

I plan on buying more GFWL games but for now the selection really blows:

Quantum of Solace
Universe At Ware: Earth Assault
Stormrise
Battlestations: Pacific
Lost Planet: Extreme Condition - Colonies Edition
Gears of War
Kane & Lynch: Dead Men
Viva Piñata
Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War 2
Grand Theft Auto IV (Requires Vista)
Halo 2 (Vista)
Shadowrun (Vista)

None of which, with the exception of Fallout 3, are really compelling. Dawn of War isn't my type of game, Viva Pinata was a great game, but who's really going to buy that for PC? Gears of War is still a "headline" name even after this long? It's a joke, they just don't have enough of a selection. At least they'll have Street Fighter IV some time in the future, not that I'll be buying it anytime near it's release, but I wouldn't mind buying it all over again for some new competition and re-earning a few achievements.

I hope they don't decide to drop this line of games even though it seems to be dead in the water; it's really neat and they've done a great job integrating the xbox live interface in (I can send pictures and voice just like anybody else, and I can read and view any message as well.) Ever since I built myself a new computer pretty much every decent looking game that came out across all prominent platforms was rented on my 360 and later bought on PC (if it impressed me) for the sake of mods and just to have it in my collection. With GFWL I just have the added bonus of achievement points.
