Basically I've finished college and I'm looking for a job, but I can't seem to get one, any job would do to be honest, I've been rejected everywhere I try. I have decent college level qualifications etc...

Anyway, this is what annoys me, my friend quit college and went onto the doll, basically leaching off the government while he lies to them about looking for a job, anyway, they found him a cool job, just like that, but he's annoyed because he doesn't want to work, he just wants to do nothing and get paid for it. I don't leach off the government/tax payers and I want to work but I don't get any help at all.

It's like how criminals with parole officers get them good jobs, but law abiding citizens who pay their own way and do nothing wrong get no help at all. It's like they are being rewarding for breaking the law.

That's not the point, I'm not bothered about not being able to get work.

I'm bothered about how criminals and lay abouts seem to get preference over law abiding citizens.

That rehabilitation, not the same thing (Jail /= Punishment).

I was in the same boat as you after college, but I was already working full time in a store that isn't WalMart, but is much like it, and is only around this area. Anyway, the moral of the story is that I applied all over the US and even parts of Europe, and the only place to finally give me a chance was back in the city I grew up in, about an hour away from where I went to college. Took me 2 years to finally get the job in my field. And that was before the economic collapse. Getting a job this year in general will be tough anywhere in the Western world. It's a good time to be on the dole. I was technically laid off or made redundant or whatever they call it where you live for two days and while I was looking into unemployment, I basically would've been better off. But then this old dude retired and I got my job back.

Don't you have a state funded organisation that tries to get jobs for you, courses, driving lisence for trucks and other vehicles and etc. for free?

That's America for you. Land of the free and home of the most bitchiest citizens the world has to offer. There are many reasons why criminals are getting better job oppurtunities than you but one of the root problems is how everyone complains about how the law is "unfair" or "biased" and other crap.

Our law isn't perfect and because everyone complained about it back and forth the government set up a program to help ex Cons find jobs to help out the average Joe who was "put away". Problem is, now that our economy is screwed up, now even law abiding citizens are having problems finding jobs, but the Cons still have their job programs to help them.

Funny how the government works.
