I've been working on mine since 2007 8|
it depends. here is a little scale that might help you out.
Da Flash How Long It Takes Scale type thingy
*If you want a very "shitty" flash then maybee a couple minutes
*A halfway decent one maybe a couple hours
*A good one that will get like a 2.50 score prolly around a day
*One really really good like a couple months
*One to make front page a year +++ more years
.
i have about 6 or 7 different ones on the go, depending on what they are some take weeks some take months. Im working on 2 large projects which will take me many many months to complete...but i also have a few on the side projects...3 are pretty much done and took me between 1 day to about 4 weeks to complete those, another 1 im working on right now i just started about 2 days ago and i think it'll take me around a month to complete.
most ppl i know have alot more than just 1 flash project on the go so working on them is on and off...and you just work on the ones your in the mood to work on for that day, it can get very boring just working on 1 flash.
Ok, flash is not to difficult for some to learn, though there are a few key factors that are controllabe depending on you.
Learning Ability
Depending on how well you can absorb information and be able to apply it to everyday things can be a problem for some. Some people can take a days, a week, a month, or even a year just to learn the basic concepts of flash programming and animation. So this plays a major factor in how long it will take.
Willing To Learn
If you are a person that gives up very easily, then this will also play a large factor in how long it will take. If you give up on something, then there is a good chance it will never get finished, and everything will take a long longer to learn.
These are just a few concepts that you should think about, and I hope this helps

I highly disagree with this statement. I think it entirely depends on the artists or programmer. I would say that a highly-regarded artist or programmer could do something that would do very well in maybe a week if they worked pretty hard. That could be getting on the front page, or even top 50, like Buccaneer Battle by BoMToons, which won $10,000 but was only coded in a week. On the other hand, if you aren't very good, it could take you a few months. It all depends.

...and this is my fag...
um.... wat
it depends on your style of animation, how epic you want your flash to be, and how your humor is
humor can get high scores with not much work
i don't think egoraptor takes more than a few hours - a couple days to make his, and they pretty much all hit fp.
Front page is a very bad measuring tool. If something is great, it goes on frontpage. but out of the frontpage flashes, some might crush others.
A couple of months for me, i'm a very slow worker.
But obviously more difficult projects would take longer, and
i'd say my projects are kind of easy.
I just can't stay focused. :3
what
months :(
it's kinda worth it, tho
