best audio creation tool for portal

Hi, im pretty new here and i was just wondering what tool everyone uses to create those awesome tunes on the audio portal cus i'd like to have a go :D (hope this post is in the right place)

I thought the best program to create audio was called Fruity Loops or something. But you should ask this in the audio forum. Use the searchbar first though, there are probably more topics like these around.

Something many people use is FruityLoops. It is fairly easy to use, and, when used correctly, can create good songs.

Some people record all their own stuff, and then mix it together with something like Audacity.
