Boycott Israelian products?

The behaviour of Israel in Gaza is still very much in debate, seeing how several topics have been collecting pages on that issue.

But I've already seen people protesting Israel as a whole, demanding economic sanctions and telling people to stop importing Israelian fruit and stuff. even Oxfam, who is like a charity fair trade organisation, calls for a stop on selling/buying stuff from Israel.
The muslim community has, no miracle here, comparable claims.

But is it alright as an outsider to be forced into a more humanitarian position, a position against the 'aggressor' (Israel) ? Should local producers and farmers, who might not support the invasion, be held back, because people judge israel is wrong?

To me both sides are significantly wrong. That's why I think it's unfair to punnish one only and favor the other. It pains me to see good-hearted organisations call for such drastic measures.

The idea is not to punish producers. It is to affect the country in till it HAS to change in the intrests of its people (including the producers). One thing to realise is that Palestine's border is very strictly enforced by Israel and Israel doesn't except Palestine as a country. So it labels there products as Israeli. So in boycotting Israel you are effectively boycotting Palestine as well.

But I guess I am corrected about nothing coming from Israel. However, though many things were invented and developed there, boycotts are only important in regards to Israel benefiting and receiving profits. If I invent something cool, sell the rights, and you get all the profits from manufacturing it, boycotting it won't really make a difference.

That video is completely retarded. The idea of a boycott is not that you morally oppose all inventions or products from a place or even the people. It is a way for consumers to impose economic sanctions on a government or company which it disagrees with. So using inventions and things already gained is fine as long as it does not directly profit the institution being boycotted. So whilst buying Jaffa oranges is supporting Israel, using Einstein's maths is not. If your trying to argue that Boycotts of countries doesn't work just look at South Africa. Although my outlined problem in terms of Palestinian products still applies.

In boycotting or demonstrating I express the view not that I think Israel are 'evil'. That would be dumb. I show that I feel the recent actions taken are not acceptable in the modern world. I value all human life, not just Israeli or just Palestinian.

Cease fire wont help here, this is not war for the sake of war, it's an operation with goal. Stop shooting rockets at our fucking cities, and Egypt to stop the smuggling.

It's not act of revenge, it's not "Eye for an Eye". It's a very rational and precise operation by Israel. There is no other way, everything was tried.

Can you picture, for the sake of argument, Iran constantly attacking a regionciting their elected leadership, and the world looking the toher way until they had to acknowledge they were being excessive?
