Listen to this clip, which I have gracefulley uploaded to mediafire. and explain to me how I possibly make a bass like the one your ears are graced with
Hmm......
Sounds like a sytrus preset....
Possibly Deep 3 or Deep 2 with a little Distortion.
If you have morphine, you can try Re- Synthesis, but it will be hard with no clear bass sections.

Err, not really. It sounds like most Reeses these days. Detuned Saws/Sines -> distort, filter, automate, rinse, repeat.
3xOSC, Saw (Low) / Sine (Lowered a fifth below but quiet) / AM Something, don't remember. Make sure you go to the Cut envelope and increase the attack time, and move the Mod Y on the filter up a bit to make it more noticable. Go to the tab with mono/porta, enable mono and turn the slide time up a bit. Do some equalization, add some effects, gates, compressors, peak controllers, and notes and you have yourself:
Click to listen.
Also, get better drum samples than mine if you're going to write DnB. Also quit using presets.
I use dblue glitch for gating most stuff because it's really convenient, but I suggest you find something better.
tl;dr version: learn 3xOsc to write electronic music.

Bahh, I must be thinking of someone else. I've not posted here for a while.
how do i make the file play on mediafire?
Giants are too tall. We'll have to stand on top of each others shoulders to survive.
You do know that the Reese in that song you posted isn't that great at all? It sounds unclear, overly distorted, and too compressed.
Check out some Spor, Apex and Noisia for real Reese's.

I'm not that big of noisia or spor fan but even I'd have to admit that some of their reeses are more manified than anything else out there. Seriously. did you hear diplodocus? How did they do that? It's like they took a reese and filtered through an awesome-machine.
Would you like some sarcasm with that milk toast?

Calyx is my personal favorite. Sure all of his songs sound exactly the same, but damn do I love them.

The shape of things to come is another personal favorite. Seriously. Calyx and Teebee make some of the cleanest bass/reese hybrids :P

Well I know it's old but it's still the bass that I was pointing out.
and I was just pointing out that it was an old mix... but I guess that was kind of obvious. I have no idea what the production standards were at that time, but now a days a reece like that is pretty easy to make.

lol this isnt a share. Im genuinely listening to this for ideas on how to possibly attempt to duplicate those kind of reese sounds
how would I even approach something like that. I get a reese. what effects do I put on it. how do i automate it

I've made a reese in FL after some experimenting.. or something close to one. Then I got bored and laid some mixer effects until it sounded nice and deep enough.

Well, lets first consider that sawtooth isn't the only wave type that makes an interesting reece. I'm tired of seeing everyone saw "detuned saw waves!" Try squares. Mix a sawtooth through another ocilator. Pitch bends, distortion, boost, arpeggiate, filter. Get creative. I find that sometimes you can make the coolest stuff by just picking a few good notes and randomly kind of modulating. Don't even bother trying to make sense of it. Improv the creative process. After you have a nice sound, layer it with a sub bass. Instant sex reece.
If only you used reason. I'd be able to give more specific pointers at how to use each of it's synths to get those reece sounds. I guess all I have to say at this point is to experiment. You learn faster by trying new things.

Use FL303. Learn it. Make presets and save them. Don't worry if it sounds shit at first, just get a saw + sine going which should give you enough bass and a nice starting point. Then you can start gating it and adding effects.

so far what I've tried to do is create a reese. in songs I've listened to there seems to be several main effects used.
a "wobble" effect, at varying speeds. a lowpas filter, and stereo seperation, always used at the same time. stereo seperationa nd metalization. it seems like I need to have 3 or 4 instances of the reese open to pull of all this crazy shit
More proof that Calyx and Teebee are gods.

Spor's Remix of the song is WAYY better.
But still, Calyx And Teebee rock.
