yes i know there are alot of threads already about youtube and the copyright claims but here is what you get when you try and listen to a new single by your favorite band

And then it gives you a completely un realted video, youtube used to be like a that really cool teacher you had in high school who let you talk and mess about but now he's turning into the menepausel old woman who gets angry when she an't here herself shouting at some poor guy becuase he dropped his pencil.

Second of all, it is questionable whether or not it is headed in a downward direction, due to the amount of spam being uploaded, but if you don't like it, don't watch it.
Third, we all know that they have been removing videos that break copyright claims and all of that legal business, but no site can use stolen media or original work without the creator's consent. Even Newgrounds has to abide by that rule. Go steal some flashes and try uploading them here. See what happens.

youtube is made by four types of videos:
1) spammy kids being dumbasses (blowing stuff up, farting, hurting themselves, etc.
2) Stolen stuff. T.V. clips, music videos...and now that it's being hunted down and deleted, Youtube sucks even more.
3) People playing games, like Halo, Tf2, Brawl, etc. most of them are showing off something awesome they did, or a hack that doesn't work anymore.
4) F**KING RICKROLLS!!! Bastards posting the same video over and over again when it wasn't funny or a good joke the first time.

its still pretty good, u just gotta know what to look for- i highly recommend searching tropfest short films and there are a ton of amazing movies 5 mins long each, wasted 3 hours on it

I think i'd like to see them remove all of the copyright infringe vid's, which would reduce them to a complete pile of shit because it'll remove half of the videos there. And instantly kill much of their ad revenue.

It depends on what areas you lurk on YouTube. Now, there are plenty of videos uploaded by talented people such as short films and good, meaningful videos... Though, on the other hand, the rest can be complete shit, but who cares? Just try to avoid the spam, it's not that hard.

But, it is getting rather annoying now with all the fucking ads everywhere. Also, is anyone having troubles with the 'HD' option on some videos? It lags like shit for me. D:

You easily find copyrighted videos on the internet it doesn't take very long. Youtube had a few great hilarious videos, but the rest is kind of shit. Most tv shows are available on hulu.com, and it is legal as well.
