Ruining my life?

Alright, well I guess I'll just tell the truth here :P. I'm a sophomore in high school, and I have some shit going on in school. I'm not trying to be arrogant or anything like that here, but I'm a pretty smart kid. I've tested into our school district's gifted program, and all that. Basically, my grades have been going down the drain lately. And now, for the first time ever, I may be getting a D in the math course I'm taking. I know, I know a D isn't an F, etc etc., but I'm really worried.

It seems like you care about your grades, so I would say just don't lose focus on that and you should be fine! One D wont kill your entire life, just keep doing the best you can.

Err, I hit enter before I was done typing :P. But to sum it all up, my parents both went to ivy league colleges, and I have a shitton of pressure on me. They're acting like this year is my last chance to get my grades up for college. Basically, how big of a hole have I dug for myself? My other grades are in the B-A range :P.

Chronic Procrastinator :P. I'll get home from school, and I'll know that I have, say, an outline and two tests the next day. I won't do any work until 9 at night, and then I'll end up not finishing most of it. It's actually INCREDIBLY hard for me to commit myself to any schoolwork at all, and I'm not just using that as an excuse. It's actually weird when I think about it.
