I need some help

Ok i am 14 and i really want to get into makeing games and animation thats why i love this site but ineed a simple program. I would perfer it to be free becuz i am tight on cash. if its not free thats ok i just want to know some and any advice about this kind of stuff would be great thanks.

Hi man!
Welcome to the forums ;). To start animation (my area. I'm not much of an Actionscripter) I think it's important to have the notion of how it actually works. For that you better not use flash, because flash has features, such as Motion Tween, that makes the process alot easier in some ocasions. So, to start, frame by frame is important, in my opinion, and later you can skip doing the in-between frames, in flash, by using Motion tween and other features. Frame-by frame is harder work but important to learn. The only freeware animation I know is Pencil. I think it's the only one existent. It doesnt have tweening and a bunch of "making it easy" features, like flash, but to start I think it's perfectly ok. I like it.

get the demo of flash. then buy it later if you feel it's worth it
