I have since of late improved quite a lot. Everyone does at some point or they just never grow up or learn at all which is pretty damn sad.

This place has helped me with my typing skills and has gave me some good laughs. I would never leave NG... but I am just an 06 user.

I just carried on posting for the lulz.

I've had phases of growing bored and/or tired of this place. A lot of the topics at the times just weren't very interesting, if interesting at all, or worth posting in.
Also, flaming never turns out well. Flames start arguments, arguments become virtual contests, and virtual contests become retarded.

Anyway, I haven't been on NG all 4 years. I've left and came back many times, due to the fluctuating amount of idiots here. But overall, my experiences with NG have been good.

Yes.

I found about NG somewhere in 2001. My brother showed me some flash on it back then, I was 6 I think. If I would've signed up then and rememered my info I'd be a 01 user :D

I forgot about NG though and only got back to it somewhere in 2005 and made an account in July.

As I've matured these past couple years, I've noticed a great decline of my use of NG. I used to be a 10+ poster a day, join chat rooms (paltalk, etc), in order for fellow BBS users to appreciate me a bit more. Over time I guess I learned that trying to get respect from strangers is unnecessary, and fairly stupid. Now I really only post in threads that have a question that require a legitimate, intellectual answer or piece of advice.

But I guess to answer to your question... I guess I would say it would be good to have a balance between post style. If the situation is appropiate, and you're sure you won't get banned, its ok from time to time to post something silly, but don't abuse the thought.

On the other hand, don't feel like it's useless or not cool to provide an intelligent response, while some may flame you for it, and not conforming to the immature ways of many NG users, somebody out there really does appreciate the info you provide them.
