If Audio you're using is less than 30 seconds long it goes under the fair use act and is not copyrighted.
So if you the audio you use is less than 30 seconds you can tell youtube and threaten to sue.
I'd advise everyone to upload their "music videos" in 25 second increments.
If that's gonna happen, I am SCREWED.
Please disregard all of my pre-2013 posts. I was young and borderline retarded.
why would they do that, who cares, without audio you cannot enjoy sound so whats the point. youtube has walked the nazi plank

Youtube has been shit for a long time now, they're going to drive everyone off the site if they keep this shit up.
I first saw this happening about two weeks ago when videos started to get removed from my favorites because of copyright claims from third parties. Now, there's really little music that I can listen to on YouTube.
ha ha ha ha ha ha... aaahhhh...

They make money from advertisements that are on the same page as these uploaded movies, therefore they are making money from them.

My dad actually donated money to the fucker. Seriously, that 'personal appeal' is such bullshit. They make enough money as it is, and now they're asking for more?
1. This is some pretty good technology, to detect this automatically.
2. YouTube has a deal with most of the music companies to allow you to use copyrighted songs. Unfortunately, it looks like some are not covered, and if this becomes widespread, I really think YouTube is going to kill itself.
