Dragonforce Club

I've tried making this club many times before, but it's always failed for some reason or another. I hope this time it makes it. I am a big Dragonforce fan, I know almost everything there is to know about them, and I thought it's horrible that there isn't a Dragonforce club yet.

Rules and Guidelines

Obviously, no flaming or spamming.

You must know a little something about Dragonforce, you can't just listen to one of their songs and say "Oh I liked that can I join"

To join, just ask and say your favorite song and album.

Don't get too off topic, you con talk about anything that has the slightest relationship to Dragonforce, but don't steer too far away.

About Dragonforce

Dragonforce is a power metal band formed in 1999 by lead singer ZP Theart, also featuring lead guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman, keyboardist Vladim Pruzhanov, drummer Dave Mackintosh, and bassist Frederick Leclercq. They became well known when their song "Through the Fire and Flames" was featured a song in Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. Their song "Heroes of Our Time" from their new album Ultra Beatdown was nominated for a Grammy Award under the category Best Metal Performance on December 3, 2008.

Well, we already have a DragonForce club, but it's been inactive for more than a year... I'm not sure if you should try to revive the old club or keep up with this new one...

im not gonna revive it.... but i am making a club for avenged sevenfold next, if you like dragonforce... or hate em, its a good band. also i havent heardabout any new songs or them coming to florida any time soon, we need more metal in florida!

I'm going to take a gamble and try to make this new one, I think it needs a fresh start.

I would consider listening to one of their songs if you like rock or metal. You can DL on Limewire easily. Of course, not all people like it.

I'll agree that early DragonForce are way better.
And I'll disagree that TTFAF sucks but at the same time I'll sigh because they became a dog turd during that era too.

I completely agree, people love it because it's usually the only Dragonforce song they've heard, but it's dwarfed y other songs like Fury of the Storm.

i partially agree, TTFAF isnt the best song, i particularly like starfire and evening star. but i still like TTFAF, even though that song has been constantly flaunted by gaming companies and whenever i goto the music store, and i see dragonforce albums i see a big sticker that says " featuring through the fire and flames-as seen on Guitar Hero" and that pisses me off

Yeah. What it SHOULD say is "featuring all of the songs of Dragonforce, including the two million that AREN'T TTFAF.

I've noticed that almost all of the Dragonforce songs have a similar structure. First off is a guitar solo intro, usually the most complex part of the song, and then comes a 2:30-3:00 part with ZP singing, then a long winding solo, and in the last thirty seconds ZP comes on again and sings the chorus.

And its not just structure, the notes, riffs and solos are the same.
And the lyrics.
And the drums.

Would love to join the Dragonforce club. My favorite song is most definitely Through the Fire and Flames while my favorite album is Sonic Firestorm. I don't mind Valley of the Damned at all but one of my friends for some reason thinks that it's crap. Sheesh.

Heroes of Our Time definitely puts the album up there, I think it's a great follow up single to bring in Ultra Beatdown after Inhuman Rampage.

When they make that (if it IS an album, I didn't watch the whole thing) I'm going to the music store and buying it immediately. I love when a band makes a greatest hits CD, because then you can listen to a whole bunch of songs and they're all good.
