YES!!! There She Is!! Final Step won! This was truly a great year for SamBakZa! I mean, after a three year hiatus, they finally released step 3 along with the step 4 and final step to boot! All three movies even won monthly 1st! I think this series will finally get the same amount of attention that the Brackenwood and Madness movies are if any of the steps wins best movie of 2008! If any of the NG judges are reading this post, please make this happen!

SMBZ ep 7 was actually my favorite movie submitted this year but since it didn't win first place in the October 2008 contest, (I'm still sore about SMBZ ep 7 losing btw.) my second choice would be Steps 3,4, and 5 of There She Is!!. But I agree with you FreeWillzyx, they are award worthy submissions!

Well, i dont think hes entirely wrong... like any site, you have to build a reputation... if you are fairly underrated, youll naturally be overlooked, the key is to just keep plugging away. Its a building process. *Generally*, people become top animators from repeated attempts and continued exposure to the audience out there. With repeated attempts you improve and at the same time you are able to tap into new audiences.

Like any other creative field out there, there are going to be those folks that had great timing/luck and skip to the front of the line by their one-hit wonders...Numa Numa and other pieces come to mind, thats natural too and will happen wether you like it or not.

I think you just gotta stay focused, if you love what you do then just keep doing it. Dont let monthly awards govern your self esteem. Im sure in time, with patience and persistence youll get what you deserve. If not here at Newgrounds, somewhere out there.
