Well, I can't say I agree with a comp about animal porn, but a change in the subject matter would be nice. Regardless of what the next comp is though, my only real complaint was about subjectivity versus justification and it seems like that's been resolved. Like I said before. May the next comp be a joyous shit pile. I don't mind.

hey i feel like a big noob answering this question, but if i have permission from the original author can i submit a remix to the mac? keep in mind the remix is intended for the mac and it holds almost no resemblance to the original...

Now to keep this post from being completely useless, I would like to remark that a madness theme, a battle theme, or a horror theme would be perfect for me, and I would really enjoy doing a Mac like that.

We had a madness day a while back. Also, I asked mindchamber to remove that track for me so it's not on newgrounds anymore, but if you want to see the animation here's the link :D

Yeah. I think I've resubmitted my piece like 10 times since last night. I keep hearing things that make me angry.

Also, how would you do that meastro? There sure are a lot of infrequent users that we don't know have interest in the comps. It would probably be easier to just ask tom fulp to advertise the comps in his front page posts.

Yay guys I met a girl. I don't know if anythings going to happen, though. But she did put a really big smile on my face for a bit :)

I wrote my soppy broken heart lyrics, that aren't that good because lyrics suck. But if I can get ahold of a mic I'll try make a bit of a poppy rock type song for that still to enter.
Maybe even a second entry for this new someone, I haven't decided yet.

Using a free mailing list like this http://www.coollist.com/. Whenever Tom advertises the MAC's he could pass the official "Newgrounds Mailing List" link, where users can sign up for it, and I or somebody else would send out an email at every MAC. This way Tom doesn't have to advertise it every single time and we still reach the most amount of users every time.

OK lets just say I was slightly irritated at the volume of cheesy A-minor based piano pieces that were clearly meant to be in death scenes of take-a-name-out-of-the-hat anime films and sound like they were whipped out in a couple of hours by playing some arpeggios and octaves then quantising, correcting erroneous notes, moving some of the melody and bass lines to other instruments and finally saving as a suitably loved up mp3. Lets just say that. Im not saying they're bad (a lot of them are nice listening), just...samey.

Now if I were to submit a solo piano piece that was all those things minus the quantising, correction and other instruments how would it go down? Does writing this post make any difference? If I submit a song and say, "I spent literally 10 minutes making this" and it turns out to be the most holyshitwtf piece youve ever heard (LOL never happen, Im not Yanni :P) would it make a difference to the judgement? Clearly there are some submissions which have taken many hours to refine. If I were to submit two pieces, one of which was the aforementioned lazybones route and one was a step in a completely different direction, what would be the judges feeling towards both?

I might not submit anything Im just curious in an evil kind of way. Also, I feel pretty sorry for the judges on this one a few of the songs (great as they are) really are that similar...will it come down to sample quality? Woot Im naughty.

Well I wasn't necessarily saying I had this all planned out I was more trying to point out, in an extremely round about way, that there is not much originality to the submissions for this MAC; and that some of them sounded like a pretty good pianist just doodling out some chords and arpeggios and submitting it.
