You know those real slow r&b songs, the one's that get you and your significant other in the mood for a little hankypanky, if ya know what I mean, do those fit the theme of the MAC?

Cuz if so, I know what two songs I'm submitting.

Guys, you lightened my morning ...
For the new year I just slipped on ice and broke my left hand (just a little), so I was quite moody today, but reading this thread just made my day ...

I hope that winning a previous MAC don't involve not participating again.
Again is a theme that inspire me, after all I'm still freshly married. I guess that posting a photo of her instead of a track would be an instant win, but I'll try probably also with some music.

Porno music!? How can you expect to win with that? Porno music is superficial. It starts all hot and heavy, to give the impression that something very dirty is about to transpire, or that those involved actually have feelings for each other. But that's all in the intro. The rest is meaningless grooves and rhythms, before it ends abruptly with an inappropriate soothing serenade. To really capture the feeling of this MAC, I think, you'd have to concentrate all the creative energy on the intro, and not go beyond or finish. And let's face it, nobody likes it when a song finishes at the end of the intro.

ah!!
these MACs are coming so fast!!
MAC9 already lol :D

I'm hoping for 2 submissions - piano and orchestral - maybe another with intero xD
Though we better beat BlazingDragon again!!

Well i'm really busy with the piano collab - but it's good to catch this one early, last MAC I caught it only 2 or 3 days before the winners were announced :)

Good luck everyone - but don't steal 4th place anyone!! ^^

hey? I made the grounds of a new piece

but - it sounds like I heard it before (or the main section)
the chord progression is pretty common/simple for that section but if it turns out to be already used - will i still be able to win prizes?

Originally this idea was by me, but it is pretty common - and maybe already done before;
any response will be nice :)

Perfect timing! Just got my new computer. Can't wait to start making music regularly again.

Now one thought... should this be like a serious love song or something kinda cheesy that fits the theme?

QUESTION! >:C

As a man currently suffering from his first broken heart (and I can't find any glue to fix it :'(). I be wonderin' "Does the song have to be happy?"

I mean, can I do like sections, "How she makes me feel" then a "Realising she'll never be mine" sort of thing?

Or can I do a full-blown sad piece because all I can do is think about her and hurt. Hurt a lot.

KTHX!

definitely.

And Ambi, sorry to hear it mate :'c.

Do whatever you want, though i'd think the first idea would stand a better chance of winning. However do you want to make that song to win, or to express? Your choice :c

Alright, I'm gonna list a number of songs. If you haven't heard em, just lemme know. However, if you have, just tell me whether they would fit the theme to the MAC.

Note: I'm talking about the background melody to these songs, not the lyrics.

Let's get it on- Marvin Gaye
Be without you- Mary J. Blige
Please Don't Stop the Music- Rihanna
Let There Be Light- Nas

I'll think of some more later, right now my brain is tired.
