So after reading lots of tutorials on Illustrator, I present my first true piece of art made in Illustrator.

This took many more hours than it should have, but I seriously enjoyed every moment of it and I am glad of my new-found hobby.

The final draft is complete and will be on the contest thread shortly.

I don't think I'll ever understand why people feel that "I MAED THIS SKETCH IN LIEK, FIFE MINUTES, DUNT JUGE IT 2 HARD, K? I HOP I WIN :D" pictures or MS Paint mediums are such a necessary contribution...

And I have to say that I'll somewhat blame Pikanjo for the flood of furry/anthro characters. Honestly, people really wanted catgirls for a pet? Sex slave, maybe, but a pet?
Anyways, I have to say that, so far, I think that I'm digging Scottmale24's due to the quote and that I used to be one of those nerdy kids, sucho's out of the quality and the sheer absurdity (the bigger res is nicer to look at ;P), LaserKarl's is just sheerly artist and the expression is priceless, and then I'm still waiting on W-P-S's so we can all be a little grossed out and pleased at the same time.

My only thought is that I was kinda disappointed by deadspread83's submission. Over the art contests, I became a fan, especially due to his oddball art style, but his piece didn't grab me by the nuts and make me want to look at it like his stuff usually does.

And this one just makes me think of the PSP commercial with the squirrels. lol.

this is the first sketch i made for my perfect pet. no genitals, no nails, fuzzy all over, strong enough bite to attack intruders, thick skull to prevent breakage from droppage. sounds perfect to me.
