I don't know what any of you guys are talking about. The ending to Fight Club was probably the worst book-to-film transition. The book's ending was great. The movie left many holes in the plot. The reason people like Fight Club so much is that it's become mainstream now, and people are just trying to jump on the bandwagon.

The best ending I've seen was The Shawshank Redemption, because I didn't see any of that coming, and I'd thought that the main character committed suicide, but I was wrong. And I'm a huge sucker for happy endings.

The finale to "Army of Shadows" was epic in every fiber of its being, but if I were to create such a title, it would go to "Paris, Texas". I was sweating like a dog and nearly suffocating during its last 20 minutes. It left such an emotional impact on me that whenever someone tells me it left them bored or unimpressed, I pretty much lose all respect for them and render their opinion obsolete.

The Six Feet Under finale left me in a daze for weeks.

Yeah, I liked that one too, anything that depressing is a good end . . .

Although it's my favourite film, I thought the ending could've been more of a climax. I mean we waited all through the film for Ichi and Kakihara to finally fight to the death, and Ichi end up getting kneecapped and spends five minutes rolling around on the floor, before Kakihara commits suicide.

Unless you're referring to the psychology of the ending, with Kakihara fantasising about Ichi killing him and that, which I personally thought was great.

Anyway, ending could've done with as much gore as the whole film overall.

Oh, let's not forget "The Bridge on the River Kwai". That rousing finale basically made the film.

It was a bit of a letdown, but I just thought the little kid kicking Ichi was hilarious.

I know it's not a movie, but 24 season 1 had a superb ending.

Mr. Brooks and Saw 1 also had awesome endings.

And for anybody into the macabre, Let the Right One In has a very very creative fight scene at the end.

Scarface, cocaine makes you invulnerable to all bullets except shotguns shells.
Donnie Darko epicness leaves no room for a sequel.

I loved the ending.

Which was more or less in the middle of the film.
I loved the ending in Monty Python's Life of Brian one of the best jokes I've seen in a movie.
