When I was a lad in Blackpool in the winter of '95 (bloody hell, that seems ages away now) we had a snow flood. I was almost literally up to my eyeballs in the stuff. It was that bad one of those snow plough lorry things was going through all the main streets.

If you want to talk big snow, look no further than 1962 / 1963. That was the last white Christmas in the UK and it stayed around for weeks. I was told in no uncertain terms that my dad, his sister and their numerous cousins made a huge snowman, which required a plank to mount the second ball atop the first.

This snowman remained for months after the rest of the snow had dissipated and my grandfather was not impressed with the patch of dead grass where the snowman had been, when it had finally melted.

Yeah, I remember my dad telling me about how he went ice-skating on the Norfolk Broads. In 62/63, he would have been 11.

Frozen canals must have been absolutely brilliant - now you can't even get a dog to run across the canal without the ice breaking.

It's been annoying me that everyone's knee-deep in snow in England except Manchester. Seriously, Manchester has had so little snow in this amount of time I'm beginning to feel left out.

That and my parents have been raving about how bad the weather effects public transport.

According to my mum Blackpool hasn't had any.
Hudd has a nice amount though and you're inbetween the two.

Still, pretty much everywhere except the North West has had snow that's lasted at least a couple days. Although to be honest, I just want Summer now anyway.

We were far from knee deep - there were maybe 2 inches around our parts, but then again, being flanked on three sides by sizeable hills and on the fourth side by the Severn, it does mean that we get very little in the way of snowfall - just the after effects of it, when the Severn floods :P

ye I don't get it either. I would've used the universal term 'OG' personally but then again you've always been one for showing off acronyms I've never heard of SO HERE'S SOME KARMA HAHA.

Well, if it'd been OP or OG, yeah, I wouldn't have had as much confusion.

Damn. Karma's a bitch, as they say.

in one of the several catch up msns I had with spancker back in the day (I think we've both given up on each other now) he was going on about how you and I always had the most complicated NG related discussions about the workings of the exp system and whatever lololol.

O_o

I was like whatev, NGling and ramagi were the ones figuring out the formulas and shit. I could just understand them and apply them to hypotheticals.

Yeah.

...actually maybe it was just ngling doing the brainwork and ramagi chatted wade up enough to get him to spill some secrets. I'd normally do some kind of all caps sentence right here challenging ramagi to reveal the truth but I can't see it happening. right ram?

Uh huh.

I'd say it's good to have you back, but in truth it's hard to tell exactly for how long we'll have you back... so... yeah. What I WILL say is that it's good to see you posting. So do that more. Please. Please?

Back is a relative state of being, clearly.

HERE'S MORE FOR YA.

Hey, I keep my daily routine organised, so I know when to start playing games and have more than enough time to do stuff on NG.

Time management skillz? Maaaaaaaaaaan.... FUNK DAT.

Should I keep bugging him on Steam then? It doesn't have to be everyday, but doing catch-ups once every week or two is good enough.

Hey now. Once every month or two it is!

When finally given a chance to be in the playoffs, after toiling for the likes of the Mariners and the Rangers for so many years as the best player on mostly-bad teams... he pissed it away, SLAPPED A BALL OUT OF A PITCHER'S HAND AT FIRST BASE, and watched his team give up the most insanely awesome choke jobberino in BASEBALL HISTORY.

Sweet times, sweet times.

No funk dat, time management is necessary for me, especially when I still need to save some stuff and talk to my friends. However, I'll play my DS whenever the fuck I want, it's just PC gaming that I should only play at certain times.

That reminds me, my friends and I went to watch one of the university football matches the other day, and one of the linesmen was so old that my friend made the analogy that he was like "a cliff that had been eroded by the slow decay of time".

After that, we referred to him as Cliff.
