today i got my drivers permit!!! it was my first try and i got 17/20 correct. i was so happy i did a little dance when i got in the car. how did u react when u got your license?

I failed the first time because even though i got 40/40 for the road test, she failed me because she "FELT" i wasen't ready for the road, i almost tore the office apart lol.
Second time round i got a real asshole as a officer instructor, he kept making a angry face at me the whole time and pretty much kept grunting the entire 20-30 minutes of road test. When we returned to the office he went from angry to joy in 0.3 seconds, i thought i failed again, but then i actually passed 38/40 this time.
FUCK YEAR !

It didn't really affect me much.

i was just happy i was able to get my license.

I failed my "written driving" exam the first time, but I passed my driving exam on the first try. My family left for vacation back then, leaving me a BMW 116i to drive around for 2 months. T'was fun.

I didn't want my Licence but they said I needed it so they made me get it.
I dont even drive my friends drive me everywhere

Didn't care about permit, that shit was a joke and I'd fail it if I took it now.

License was great, though, especially since the lady was notorious for giving out licenses way too easy. Wasn't nervous at all.

I was pretty satisfied cause now I don't have to wait an hour for my mom to get me....

I failed my permit test the first time and got it on the second. I somehow got my license on the first shot, though. I ended up like 20" off the curb in the parallel-parking test (supposed to be 12"), and the guy just kinda shrugged and went, "Eh, we'll take that."

I have to wait till I turn 18 until I can get my license but to me it doesn't matter. The test is ridiculously easy and driving isn't even difficult, all I have trouble with is parking of any kind.

And a permit isn't a license, it just allows you to drive if supervised.

I'm too blind fo' license. 20/300 and the line for legally being not-blind (which determines whether you can get your license) is 20/200. Fuck all >:(

Congratulations man. I haven't actually gotten my drivers permit yet, but I'm on my way. The way I figure it, I'll be in driver's education in June of this year. ( 2009 )

But in all seriousness, can't you wear glasses. My instructor couldn't figure out why I couldn't look out the corner of my eye to use the passenger side window even though I was wearing glasses, it's like he's never seen that. Did you ever think about Laser eye surgery. My dad got it for free since he was in the military and the only side effect is a temporary sensitivity to the sun.

Nope, it's pretty hard on Iceland. If I recall correctly, you are only allowed 4 mistakes on the 20 question exam. However, it is the definition of MISTAKE that is fascinating.

You see, if you circle the incorrect answer, that's naturally 1 mistake. However, you get also + 1 mistake extra for NOT circling the correct answer. Silly Icelandic people.

I just wanted to get rid of my permit and get my license. I didn't enjoy my permit very much.

What's the difference between a permit and a license?

I can get by just fine without having my own car.

Also, permit =/= license.

You can get your permit when you turn 15 and you have to take a written test first. When you pass your written test, you have to wait 6 months to get your license which you will most likely turn 16 by then.

I haven't got my permit yet, and i probably wont for a while, even though i could if i wanted...
But i guess i'd go and tell all my friends, and then just drive around and pick everyone up, take them back to my place and have a small party.

No, it's not just typical bad vision.

I have bad vision due to me being albino, so typically, glasses don't help. They make things smaller, which is a pain. Also, I have no depth perception because my eyes don't work together.
