I tend to do that alot, not posting anything, mainly because i can never think of anything to post, the BBS is starting to lose it's touch, i don't come here as much as i used to anymore.
I hear it's amazing when the famous purple stuffed worm in flap-jaw space with the tuning fork does a raw blink on Hara-Kiri Rock. I need scissors! 61!

That's a whole different thing, no other options then.

I lurked on here before I even made an account, that's what I always do to be honest.

I would have been doing it for a while but you made this topic OP.
For the last time, i don't know how to rip a CD!!
I usually post either something constructive, or I make a joke-like post. Sometimes I put a random comment in that has nothing to do with anything.

I actually do both of those things. Well, whenever I go on the internet, I'll open Newgrounds, and have it open as long as I'm on my computer, regardless of whether I'm posting or not. It's just habit.
And I sometimes go through periods of deleting what I'm writing midpost, or just leaving what I was writing. Doesn't seem worth the effort.

You ruined my lurking streak of 7 and a half hours. I hope you're happy.

I heard of someone who supposedly went on 4Chan and lurked a lot, then got banned with the message "Banned for being a fucking useless user."

It seems like I do it more often than I should. It seems so easy to post just one word and get away with it, but for some reason I can't do that. I have to add something constructive to whatever I type at the risk of sounding like a know-it-all.
Story of me on newgrounds. I usually write something down, then realize no one is gonna read it, so I hit the back button.

Yes, and I think before I post. Most users won't do that, I am the few of wise ones who think before I get the banstick. I know I don't want to get the banstick because there could be a topic in the BBS that I like and I would want to post in it.

I do lurk a lot (which is weird, seeing i've only been here a few days) because sometimes there is just no interesting topics to post in. I've also gone to make a really long post and just as I was gonna click post it:
"Ah, never mind, no point posting it."
I've only done it once though.

I lurk and delete my posts more than actually posting. By now, I should have about 1000+ posts.

Yeah, I do that a lot, although I'm never **just** lurking, I always end up silently locking, banning, deleting, etc. However, back before I was a mod (apart from when I went mad and posted non-stop this time last year), I still did it a lot. Just before I hit 10,000 posts, I stopped posting for pretty much a month, but still found myself on NG a lot of the time just lurking.
Or when you start typing a long message, you realize that it isn't going anywhere and delete it?
I do this a **lot**, I end up writing a thousand characters or so and then realise it's just me rambling. Especially on my news posts, but often topics too.

Not really, if logging on and going to the forum and not posting anything is considered "lurking" then maybe it's just because the topics that are posted aren't very interesting for me.
Everything I see is just a image of my thoughts "Always looking for a better day..."

Yeah same here.
When you first start out posting on the BBS, you post in any topic that you can. Now, its damn near impossible to find a topic that isn't about masturbation or misogyny. Most of the threads that are on the BBS now I've all seen before.
Which is why I go to the video games forum.

I spend most my time just lurking and replying to an odd topic which interests me. I do have random bursts of posting lots though.

Yeah I keep doing that now. I just can't be bothered to post in some topics or on the occasion I find a decent topic I'll write a long response then just change my mind and cancel it.

I find myself starting a lot of replies and then just deleting them because they don't seem worthwhile.
I'm gonna go back to my room and be awesome.

I lurk more than the most, if I would've posted every time I lurked I would've had made over 15 - 20 thousand posts or something around that, rather then just the like 4,000 I've made now..

Well, I lurk mostly because a) I do not want to sound stupid when I decide to reply and b) that's how I am in person, too, generally. I listen more than speak a lot of the time, so it just carries over into my posting habits.

I used to be a +1'er for years, I had at least 30-50 posts per day, and for the last 6 months I've just lurked, posting when I can be bothered.
It's way better.
