Question about Batting Average

Is the batting average based off ALL of your Flash Submissions or Just the Top 3 Flashes.

Because I checked my B.A. and it didn't make sense that my B.A. is 3.93 when my Top 3 submissions are 4.07, 4.07, and 4.06.

I thought they changed it to Top 3 with the redesign.

What you're thinking about is the fact that you have to have at least 3 flashes to have a batting average.

But yes, your batting average is an average of everything, just like the literal meaning of the word.

I'm really not sure, because when I calculated my BA, I got the following results:
BA from top 3 submissions: 3.86
BA from all submissions: 3.59294118
BA shown: 3.86

However, it certainly doesn't make sense in your case..

BA from top 3 = 4.18333
BA from all submissions = 4.0075
BA Shown = 4.19
For me, it's the top 3.

No, you only get a batting average when you submit 3 entries into the portal, once you've done that and you submit more flash, it will affect your batting average. So it goes off all your flash.

with my top 3 I should have a 4.05, but my average shown is a 3.74

That used to be the case, but I´m pretty sure they changed that. I remember when I had two flashes in the portal, my batting average was about 1.72 while both submissions had scores of 2.00+. Turned out that if you have two flashes, the system adds a third flash with a score of 0.00 to calculate your BA.

Anyways, the reason why your batting average is off probably has something to do with co-authoring. As you can see here, Bahamut´s batting average is 4.32 while none of his movies are even close to that score. He has been co-authored by AfroUnderscoreStud a lot however, who does have a few movies with that score or higher.
