If PC gaming was dying, PC gaming companies should be annoucing they're moving to the consoles permanently. If PC gaming was dying, Steam would have been a failure. If PC gaming was dying, console games wouldn't get ported to the PC. But since those things aren't happening, so PC gaming is still alive.
And don't tell me consoles don't get pirated as well, it may be rarer, but it still happens.
I said it was dying, not dead. Slowly as the new big titles all start to lose profits due to the amount of piracy happening, such as we've seen with Spore and we're seeing now with WoG, then the companies will have no choice but to rethink the way in which they publish their games.
Steam is slightly better off as they can put their products cheaper since there's no packaging or shipping involved in getting their product to the customer. I wasn't saying console games don't get pirated, the Wii certainly does, but even that and the Xbox 360 & PS3 are on a much smaller scale than PC game piracy, simply because it's so much simpler.
