Mp3 players against Ipods:The War

Well, im here to say that Ipods are quite suckkish.Sure, theyr good and all, but cant do nearly as much as apple could make them do

Personaaly, I like creatives mp3's, especially the Zen X-Fi. I just got one and im in love with it :3
The music quality is exceptional, and u can use the internet on it

Zunes are good too, but u cant connect to the internet. The upside is how u can share songs, but the downside is that u only get to keep that shared song for a little bit.

Ipods have a ton of features and designs, but mp3 arent nearly as much, and clearly out perform them

What are your favorite mp3 types?

Honestly, I like mp3 players more. Mine gets radio signal and my brother's iPod doesn't.

ya, my Zen does that. my sister has an ipod. not only is my zen a 16gb, but it plays all types of files off of any media player

iPod touch is beast I don't care what anyone says. You won't turn into a preppy douchebag if you get one, trust me. It's just a good MP3 player. Just don't use iTunes (except for the occasional app) and you will be ok.

I have a sansa fuze. It has fm radio and it's pretty much exactly like a 2nd gen ipod nano. Getting it to play youtube videos is pain though.

I personally use SANSA, and it's good except for the Rhapsody version that comes with half its hard drive filled with fucking "Preview Songs" and DRM shit. But on the other hand Ipod's are so expensive, and the "Accesories" like iHome and iFuck and iXuddle cost so much. And oh yeah, they supposedly make the battery die after a year so you keep buying new iPod's.

In terms of fabrication quality, my sansa's central button fell the fuck off, but I drop it on hard surfaces all the time, it's perfectly intact even with a cracked screen (I know I'm a klutz). But I don't know about iPod's. Either way, I'd go for a Sansa, or maybe one of those wierd but uber-cheap imported Chinese players?. Just get an English language patch.

a really simple alternative, if you have itunes AND windows media player,
just open the file location of the song(s) in media player and convert the mp3 to a ipod song or whatever, thats i what i do,

That's the one I use as well- currently I've got a Sansa e260, which has served me pretty good, and costs a helluva lot less than an iPod. The only downfall I suppose, is the lack of memory- there's just not enough room to store all my "totally legal" movies. = /

Also, not having to "sync" with iTunes is a plus- drag 'n' drop all the way, baby!
