Think about it, what's the one thing that bugs the hell out of Newgrounders, and seems to cast an awful light on us from outsiders?

The answer of course, is spammers.

It seems lately that the major spam crews are in competition with one another. Out-doing the other with gloriously hideous spam submissions. I've reviewed some that had been one thing completely and then switched at the last minute to spam. These were later deleted, but the point is as that they're getting more creative on how to sneak this shit in.

If you vote on Under Judgement material, you've probably seen them proudly flaunt their crew's letters, like a flag-flash drifting over the horizon with poorly-drawn cocks a-blazing, and psyducks loading shitty music.

They don't do it for fun. They do it for the negative attention. They compete between each other for the BEST negative attention.

And we reward them with the Turd of the Week award.

If Wade really wants to stop the spam, he should eliminate all of the spam-crew's prize possession. He should get rid of the concept of rewarding people for flashes that should've been blammed, but were mass-voted into passing, and occasionally, emblazoned with a digital turd.

I mean, honestly. Would the TotW be missed? We can't form Blam Crews, or Anti-XX divisions...why not cut the problem at it's source?

The TotW has basically become advertisement space for spam-crews. With it gone, they will eventually lose interest and rot off. It would be nothing immediate, but in the long run, I think it could prevent any further spam-crews to be formed.

They're just trolls son, ignore them. The ones that manage to steal the award pay the price with the deletion of their accts and all their flash, spam or not.

Making threads about them just feeds their need for attention...
