i never give my dog bones, after the incident happned...

my dog was 4 years old. we had pork ribs for dinner, and my dad gave him a small bone to chew, he started to stagger and blood was comming out of his mouth so we thought he was choking,

rushed him to the vet, vet found the bone wedged in the top of his mouth and yanked it out with a hook tool, a shot and 500 bucks later we where done with that shit and naver has dog been given a bone, again.

Dogs are carnivores so their digestive tract is designed to be able to handle bones. Raw bones are actually good for dogs. With that said though, you should never feed a dog cooked bones because the cooking softens the bone to the point where the dog will literally be able to eat the bone and when they bite into it the bone will splinter and without knowing any better the dog will swallow the splinters and that's what causes the problems.

My cat died in October. It was really hard, I know how you feel. He was a month older than me and it felt like he always watched over me. He was such a loving cat. At least you know now not to give dogs bones. RIP Smokey (if that is his name, I just saw one of your earlier posts.)

Incidentally, I had a cat named Velvet who was very close to me. However, she was so ill she ran away and we never heard from her again.

My parakeet died two days ago.
