Case in point, Gears of War 2.
I get an achievement for beating the first chapter. Then, I IMMEDIATELY get another one for defending the hospital, which was the fucking objective of the first chapter.
Thanks for shoving an artificial sense of accomplishment down my throat. Yeah, Cliffy B, that totally doesn't make it all feel increasingly worthless.

Yeah, I hate those ones. But the occasional surprising ones make up for it in other games. I just started CoDWaW and I got the "Saved Private Ryan" achievement that gave me a hearty laugh.

In Fallout 3 PC, you can use console commands to unlock all of the achievements. No, I don't even mean using it to cheat to give you unlimited health or all that shit, you can go into the console and type in
AddAchievement x (with x being a number 1-50)
and unlock all of the achievements with only a few keystrokes
and I thought that games were going to give up on cheat codes solely because of achievements.
