I second the Chester County suggestion

here is a movie theater that recently closed down

Regal Cinemas
120 Eagleview Boulevard
Exton, PA
610-594-1700

im not sure if the phone number works

That is getting further and further from where I want to be. :) I also imagine a Regal Cinemas building would be out of my price-range. There are some surprisingly cheap big buildings out there that have been abandoned... Just gotta find the right one.

I'm tempted to look at abandoned buildings in North Philly - there are lots of them, and they are cheap. Of course, you are paying to live in a REALLY BAD neighborhood... But who knows. Troma bought a four story building in Hell's Kitchen (horrible part of NYC), and now it's a goldmine!

Ahhh, someone is trying to avoid the overly high Philly taxes :D
Strike another one for Philly's anti-bussiness model.

yo, Tom, sounds like an excellent way to make NG better for both the NG team and us. I'll be moving after college and would really like to help NG in any way. If i could, I'd like to join the team or NG if possible. it's better than doing nothing in a basement. hit me back, believe_in_fate@eudoramail.com

Too bad you're not down here in the Jacksonville-Yulee, Florida area. Theres this warehouse down a main road for sale. Exposed brick, rail line, big windows, smaller "front office" space. Not to mention the other buildings for sale around here. Seems that $500k is the norm down here for a run down factory/warehouse.

Anyways, sounds like a great idea. Good luck with the idea. Hopefully you find something.

ALWAYS CHECK THE BASEMENT! You need to be able to shut things (gas, phone, water, power) down if there's a problem. If you don't know how, freakn' ask! Better to feel stupid than die from a gas leak!

HERE
is a picture of the building.

4258-68 Frankford Ave, Philadelphia, PA
4258-4260 Frankord 2 large buildings - 1 is a three story 10,000 sq.ft building , 4262,4266 4268 are vacant lots, 4264 is a shell. Also included... Price: $1,150,000 Bldg. Size: 25,000 SF

i dont know your price range but 1.15m sounds dirt cheap for these.

and here is the link to the list of other buildings.

Good luck finding the right building ;D

I live in PA and somewhat close to Philly. My dad has a carpentry business and owns a couple warehouses. Unfortunately all of the warehouses are used for storage right now.
