My hate for Richard Dawkins stems from the fact that the man has a degree in biology, not philosophy and his books are reviewed in science magazines. I remember reading an issue of Focus, where they had many celebrity scientists answer questions, Richard was one. His question was "What is the point of religion" and his answer was that it was a method for order that came about. That's fine and dandy believing that, but it was not a philosophy magazine and he is not a scientist, or if he is e hides it pretty damn well.

It's like if I were to have a degree in music and to be considered an accomplished musician, but you only ever see my sculputures. Like Don Van Vliet, but with a degree really. :P

John F. Haught provides a logical response to Dawkins. Haught being a devout believer, offers a surpisingly agnostic response to Dawkins, as well as Harris and Hitchens (two other best-selling tools). Simply, Haught's message is clear: There is a strong difference between not believing there is a God, and believing there isn't a God. We can logically perform the former, but the latter sentiment is much more difficult to support.

There are 4224 pages in the Harry Potter series. The only thing it proves is that a Brit can make some money with literature. Both books have life lessons in them, and those should be taken away by the reader. Any belief in mysticism should come secondary to the lessons of the texts.
