Am I wrong for this? 2008-12-21 04:16:31 Reply

I have a friend who i've known for 11 years now, and he regards me as one of his best friends, but I have not found the desire to want to hang out with him for quite some time now. He is pretty outgoing, having no problems making friends, and can be a real ass at times which really gets on my nerves. So, should I feel bad for feeling this way about him?

I would invite him on a guilt trip.

I would invite him to not be my friend anymore.

not really man, its ok to have your own feelings, and just spend less time with im for a while and you'l probably start apreciating time with him more.

When you get older, you grow apart from your friends. It's normal. I would suggest finding some new friends, for the sake of being socially active, but keep in touch with this friend so he doesn't feel neglected.

Do what now...?

I believe the problem is that he's the only person I ever hang out with.

You need to find more friends. I think that's the problem here. So get off the fucking computer and make some friends!

Since i've been out of high school, I have found meeting new people my age to be very difficult.

Go to college. If you can't do that then join some local sports organizations if you're into that. Get some hobbies that you can do in a social context (NG doesn't count).

If you're feeling bad, your gut's trying to tell you something.

Follow your gut feeling, dude. You won't regret it.

You can make all the friends you want in the wide world of the web. Forget going outside to have fun socializing with society. Screw them they will only make your life worse because you are not part of their respective clique.People are dumb simple as that.

I've followed my gut feeling enough times to want to punch it every time it makes an idea.

They all fucking suck anyway.

This too will pass.

You obviously have to do what you have to do, but I'd say you should keep him as your friend. Eleven years is a long time and I'd rather have one more friend than one less.

No, if you don't feel like hanging out, don't hang out. Maybe you'll awaken with a burning desire to reunite and connect souls twenty years from now, or not.
