Anything by Douglas Adams is awesome, namely the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series.

Ahem, SLAUGHTERHOUSE FIVE by Kurt Vonnegut. Read it first then read all of the other Vonnegut works.

Daniel Quinn is really good too, Ishmael, The Story of B, My Ishmael in that order. Really makes you think about how were are going as a race.

Well, what about Twilight?

It was just a suggestion...

Yes, try not to make that kind of mistake again. A guy can get into a lot of trouble forgetting guys like Terry Pratchett.

I like reading the Inheritance series. It's Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr, and the one that's not out yet which I heard is called Empire.

21: Bringing Down the House by Ben Mezrich
The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton

If you would be willing, the Inheritance (Eragon) Series. It is fantasy, but it is good. The book is nothing like the movie.

Beast, by Donna Jo Napoli.

It is beauty in the beast, with all the things behind the scenes. Y'know, the sex, the actual curse, no flying teapots...

A mature Bauty and the Beast.

Aztec by Gary Jennings.

Seriously, the best book ever.

Only 1097 pages.

Well, I recently read For Whom The Bell Tolls, by Ernest Hemingway. It's a good book. You should look for it.
