Has made SO MANY freaking jokes about the pair of shoes hurled at Bush that I am about to hurl over my LCD Television screen.

I know not everyone watches the late show, so this should only refer to few people.

Discuss.

He's just getting on in age, and finding it hard to think of new things to do for his show.

Nah he's a swell guy, it's just his writers have as much creativity as a crab's airtight ass.

I remember finding him funny a couple of years back, but now about 75% of his show and jokes are cringe-worthy. Possibly a change in writers since then?

Dunno. I heard Lettermen gets on flawlessly with his writers. His company was one of the first to strike a deal during the writers strike, the late show started creating new content almost immediately.

If you like a comedian that just stands up there to tell jokes then Leno is better but if you want someone who is more candidthen Letterman is better.

You can tell the Jay's monologue is better than Dave's because that's what Jay has been doing most of his life while Dave's is more a gimmick type; tossing cards in the background, top ten, will it float?, etc.

I think the way that Letterman handled McCain not turning up on his show turned out to be more entertaining than if McCain had actually joined him. They are both top notch comedians.

David Letterman isn't really funny in my opinion. Sure he cracks a good jokes here and there, but I don't find him that comedic.

I agree.

I also like Letterman because more so than any other late night talk show, he often sizes up his guests SOMETIMES in the most subtle way too.

The Paris Hilton interview for instance. The incident with John McCain bailing. When Bill O'Reilly stopped by.

the list goes on.

Conan is much better. I LOVE it when he makes fun of Larry King.

"Over 2 thousand years ago, a child was born. ME! Merry Christmas, Larry King."

Also love it when he drops a bomb on Kristie Alley.
