No kidding. People that are low on morals just do bad things, and there's going to be little you can do to stop them. While getting rid of one specific problem may stop some corruptness, people lying, cheating, and stealing will probably always be around, no matter what.

At the end of the day, it is just a plant. Before society deemed it illegal, it would be insane to deprive someone of their freedom just for owning a plant. How about sentencing someone to a jail term for owning coffee beans? Caffine is a drug. Frequent coffee drinkers are in their own socially acceptable way also drug addicts.
