The purpose we were there left us with no excuse to take the country over so we then started to care about liberating the people.
I will keep asking that question until George W. Bush is exposed for the lying liar that he is.

well, we don't have WMDs, oh but look! we do have a haggard overthrown dictator who amounts to absolutely jack since we've already destroyed his army and his cabinet and he had absolutely no chance of returning and posing a threat to us or anyone else. is he good enough for a shoe in reelection?

Saddam didn't spend twelve years lying to the UN just to have the US find this evidence in a few months. There are most certainly chemical weapons in Iraq, it's only a matter of time until they're found.

If it isent reasonable to have found the weapons by now then the inspectors should have been given much more time.

Thats assuming that Saddam was cooroperating fully with the inspectors.
Don't tell me you don't think Hans Blix was bribed by at least one country; the superpowers of the world, many major oil companies, and OPEC all had major interests in what he decided.

That makes no sence seeing as it would be in their interests to bribe him to say they did have them so saddam could have been removed from power without us looking like assholes.
