Actually, if you're a Christian, you believe in the divinity of Jesus, who more or less was God, and who did walk with us.

This, of course, raises the question as what if Jesus was alive in body now? No doubt he would probably be disappointed at Christianity. Like Mark Twain said, if Jesus was alive today, he wouldn't even be a Christian.
