Pixel tool?

I've been seeing some animations featuring characters in sprite form. The authors claim to have used a pixel tool, but I have no clue on what that is. Can I get some more info on the subject?

as a true pixel artist i do not recommend using the Pixeltool in Flash, it sometimes smoothens your pixels, basically what it is, is simply a square brush. MS paint is the best for any kind of pixel works c;

that's not what he means. He means the pixledraw tool that is an extension you can download in flash i have, and I recommend it for any pixel artist.

I totally agree, the pixel tool has some issues and it just saves time and effort to do it in paint.

If you were to go through all the shit of finding it on google, downloading it, installing it, blah blah

you might as well be copy-pasting squares from your library.
After all, that's all the pixeltool is doing anyways.

Bitmaps can be a bit buggy in flash though.
Be careful with paint.

When it comes to making sprites, my favourite program to use is GraphicsGale.
