Introduction:
As music video collabs fill up the portal, and our Flash Forum -- Guess what? Here's another. No, it's not like your average music video though.

In this collab, you are assigned parts of the song, with a set styled background, in which you can ONLY use the color provided to make your piece. We are only going to have one color scheme, and only one background texture. You are qualified to draw on the texture with only the one color scene, and apply shading by techniques such as cross-hatching.

About the Song Being Used:
We are going to be working with the song "In My Arms" - Written by Jon Foreman. You can listen to the full song here. I selected this song, because it seems so casual and peaceful. I really enjoy acoustic work, and this is a rather good written piece, so I'm hoping to create a very nice collab with everyone using this song.

The parts are kind of lengthy, about roughly over 10 seconds, but you can get a few 6 second pieces, as well as instrumental pieces if you don't like to work with lyrics.

I usually create the menu and credits for the collab, so don't feel the need to ask to do this for the collab -- I already have it handled. But thank you for offering in advance! :)

Deadline:
The deadline for this collab is January 15th, 2009. That's a month from now. Since Winter-Break is coming up, that'll give you a lot of time to work on this collab. If you don't live in the states, than I apologize for that. Just make sure you finish your part in time. I'm hoping to have this completed sooner than January 15th -- And if it is, than we'll be able to release it sooner.

Sending In Your Part:
Usually people prefer to send their parts in by email, or PMing one another -- but you can do either or. If you prefer emailing, I created a special email for this collab, which is: [e-mail] -- So if you want to email me, use that. If you prefer PMing me, Than send it in by a PM, and have the subject title: InYour Arms Collab, or something similar to that.

I know people usually are wondering on who is going to be co-authored, and what not and I have a simple answer for you. The Co-Authors are decided on the best parts and animators. There are 9 Co-Authors I can choose for the collab, so I'll pick the top 9, and that's simple. Just try your hardest, and you may get a spot. There's only 14 spots, so only 5 will be left behind off the co-authoring list.

To prevent further interruption or problems, I would appreciate it if when you send in your collab piece, that you will send me a Flash 8 Format file. I can not work with CS3 files due to the lack of the program. Only submit Flash 8 work. Thank you.

Another thing, please avoid using names of your Movie clip, and symbols as "Tween 1" or "Symbol 1." Use a unique name, such as "Rudy_01." So it'll prevent any further editing of names, it'll help out alot. Thank you for that as well.

In a Music collab, he song follows from one part to another. One leads to another to keep the song in rythom as long it doesn't mess up the whole collab by missing out a few lyrics.

Attention: You don't have to work in the work here box only, you can draw on the whole page :) That's just an example layer :P And you don't have to use cross hatching, you can be creative.!
