Sure sounds great.
I'm pretty sure I can actually improve in time but the only problem is i've got exams on my hands right now and gotta concentrate on those.

Actually my whole idea was that the space marine sees the fly and acts all scared and sorta gay about it, then the fly lands on his helmet and he starts to run around waving his hands and screaming. Then you cut to another animation by another artist then some animations later you come and hes still running around, a few animations later you come to the space marine with the fly still on his head and him holding a bolter to his head ready to kill the fly.

Just for your information that space marine was the first time i ever drew on flash...

I've actually never played the board game but i know lots of things from the video games by Relic studios.
Enough to make a one or two ideas more.

Hey everybody i got a new idea.
I've already discussed this with ForbidMetal.
It goes like this: An Ork researchers is talking with the warboss about Librarians and how he thinks they got to be called librarians.
He thinks that they have telekinetic powers and that from their youth they had been chosen to work in the libraries organizing book with their telekinetic powers.
Also they get their battle abilities from training by throwing books for practise.

Hopefully someone will take the idea and will be capable of animating it.

If we dont have any topic-related to post, as commenting on a post (such as now), or progress report / idea report / poop report, than we dont, plus : Most people are busy with what not.

You're quite good at ideas. You can also say that of a young age (maybe i'm breaking the fluff rules), when they used to be kids, the now-librarians used to spend time reading books such as 'insert appropriate name of scientific-nerd books' rather than beating the shit out of other students, like the now-terminators used to do...

Hello GuassMan!

you're ideas are quite good. I particularly like the one about the fly, but the frightened character shouldn't be a spacemarine.

A: we have way too many SM parts, and
B: flys are terran creatures, they wouldn't call them xenos nor be scared of them.

however, maybe we pick a specific chapter of SMs that could plausibly behave this way, or even better, pick another race.

as for the big mek idea, I'm a fan of that one completely. If you won't be animating, we appreciate your ideas and, seeing as I'll be so bored for the duration, since I have finished all of my alotted work, I may take up some of them!

please stick around the thread. we enjoy company, and this could be a learning experience for you!

*Update on the fly idea*

Flashbounds right i think that a different race is in order.
I believe that a tau firewarrior running around and screaming something like "oh my shaas'la, oh my shaas'la''
And then ultimately pointing his rifle at his face and attempting to kill the fly...
Anybody whose taking the idea is free to alter it as they see fit.
Just give me some credit you know a little written by guassman in the corner. :)

Old school type of thought, mainly for the "awkward silence" ('pause'), respect for that, I dig your idea.
Although I do belive I saw the same train-of-thought in diffrent situations, characters, etc..In the thread.

how about this for an idea?... you know what has been bugging me ever since i started playing 40k a few years ago?... how much the tyranids look like zerg from startcraft!... the hyrdalisk are a spitting image! and the genestealers could quite easyly pass for upright zerglings... so what am i saying?...

actually, if you wait until the credits, apparently the starcraft developers even included a 'thank you games workshop' message. the marines in starcraft look pretty distinctly similar to the marines in 40k aswell.

picture the scene... *wasteland... desert... grass hills or some other table top backdrop*... a tyranid comes into view... and starts saying "6inch move...* then moves a little bit... and then pauses... then says it again and a hydralisks comes into view the other side of the flash.. it looks up and they stare at each other... and theres a pause... then the nid quickly says "6inch move 6inch fleet 6inch charge" and then mauls the hydralisk apart... enof scene... what d do you think?...

sounds like a great idea! we'd love it if you found the time to animate this, but if you don't I may be interested in doing it.

Yep i think he's talking about flash ads that are placed directly onto the animation. I was thinking about asking this question, even though it's something very minimal, and i dont know how the ads work. Will we be paid per person? Split out by the ammount of work/effort (ie. no. of flashes) each one made... is it even worth it if it'd be devided? :P

heh heh... a 40 cent cut on account of a flash ad has nothing to do with internet fame. but anyway, don't worry. I've been thinking, and I believe that this collab and the follow up serious collab may just put 40k on the NG map (aka, a collection)

It doesn't take much; there are fairly small colletions here. there just needs to be a handful of popular movies as a backbone. there's already that SRM flash, those epic tributes, and than this collab and the collab to come.

No, like being seen in a collab will make me slightly well known. I wasn't referring to the flash ad's just then.

Well i know this is thinking quite far in the future, but we can always organize aw wh/wh40k collab once a year. It'll be smaller than this cos we've been working on it for quite a while, but with the annual collab - and the random warhammer flash submitted througout time - the collection will grow quite a bit ;p

Oh and, did you ask Tom for the filesize limit? If he can increase it a bit? :P And how many parts are we missing?

Alos, a while back, Forbid and i were discussing 'making a crew'... it might be a good idea if we make more collabs ect related to wh, we can publish them under the name of that crew :P

that's a great idea actually. We could make a forum with a basic little home site. I'm capable of making flash sites, not so much html though. Forums however, are easy/

I'll gladly help out once we get done with this collab :) I took a webdesign course last year for Dreamweaver so i've got some html basics + flash aint a problem.

We also came up with an idea for the name:
GDFC
which may mean:
Grim Darkness of the Future Crew
Games Day Football Club
Golden Demon Football Club
Golden Demon Flash Crew
Genestealers Demon Fucker Crew
