So, why is it that it seems to be the cool thing to do to hate the new users of each year?

As this year is 08 and I am an 08 user, can someone please tell me what heinous thing '08 users have done to recieve the hate?

Just get over it. When I was new, all you'd hear about was "06's suck", and I'm sure before that it was the same with 05's, 04's.. It's just a boring thing that seems to continue each year but actually means nothing.

Essentially each year you survive being active in Newgrounds is a badge of honor. A lot of users are pretty stupid joining in, and like many places, this is also based on seniority. The longer you've been here, the more you've seen, and for every year you've seen it and haven't left, it's your badge of honor.

And it's not hate as much as it is just lack of respect, because you're "new".

If you're new at high school, you get ripped, if you're new at work, you deliver mail, if you're new at the nursing home, they soak your dentures in chili.

I didn't really start posting until late '07, and even then, I was hardly in general, so I missed being picked on as on '07er. It's all been said before, it's a shitty trend and a cheap cop out of a rebuttle to any argument. Same goes with post count. Quality matters, maturity matters. The people that honestly think they're better than the new users, and rub their faces in it, well they can go fuck themselves for all I care, no one gives a shit when you signed up.

I don't hate a user because of what year he or she is in, it's mostly because of the stupidity in the posts, bad grammar, or if they say anything hateful or racist.
