Rorscach cosplay help

I'm trying to gather cosplay items for the character Rorschach from Watchmen. I have no trouble finding the clothing, it's just the mask I need help on. Where can I find a quality mask and if I can't find it, how can I make one? I need serious help.

White beanie with black fabric paint?

One of my friends used a white book cover, which he cut up and just painted. Kinda sucked, though.

Get 2 viscous liquids, one black and one white, and put them between 2 layers of latex.

White pantyhose, isolate the region for your head and neck so it covers, tie and cut off the excess from the top.

Blow a balloon to approximately the size of your head, paint white over the pantyhose, then when that dries, paint the black pattern onto it. Let dry.

Try it on, see if you can see through the pantyhose.
