They ARE tasty but they take around 343 minutes to eat and you end up with tonnes of little red bits all other place, and your hands are sticky.

That happened to me with olives, but I've since grown to like them.

Sometimes, I hear a song that I think I should love. On the face of it, it sounds great, everything is in place and it has all the element of awesomeness, but I just can't bring myself to like it. In fact, I get sick of it after hearing it just a few times.

I always assumed that high alcohol content drinks were an acquired taste, and getting used to the strength of them through drinking lots, would reveal the lovely flavours. Maybe I'm wrong.

Hmmm for me that would be olives. Green or black, I can't stand either, even though I always end up "trying" them anyway. As if someday I'm actually going to find an olive that tastes good.

"it's an aquired taste" seems to only refer to either:
"I've always liked it so I assume you'll like it eventually if you eat it"
or
"eat this enough and it won't be so gross, maybe even tolerable".

Take this from a guy who hated beer and who has since drank many gallons. I enjoy the drink as a beer, because it can be full of strange flavors and it makes you drunk, but I'm not biased enough to pretend it tastes great now.

It's INTERESTING is what I'd say.

I drink green tea because it's apparently good for you. I can tolerate the taste, but I really don't like normal black teas at all.

This... Stuff. It´s a traditional finnish food called Mämmi that is eaten on easter.
It looks like shit or mold. When i was a kid i thought it would taste like chocolate every time i bought it but its actually horrible.

Nah, it's really the taste I hate. Even mango juice. There's always that weird taste like it's trying to be a fruit but just can't quite seem to make it.

And it tastes like crap once it cools down. That's the big problem with green tea: cools too fast and then it's horrible.

hmm, I rather enjoy mangoes personally, this might sound weird but you can usually tell how the mango will taste by smelling it. pretty hard to explain on the internet though.simply put if it smells good(good meaning sweet) its meant to be eaten, also the pasty/stringy ones are meant to be mango juice. well what ever

as far as the food I keep eating but never learned to like? apples, I don't know they just seem too crunchy to be fruit.

Yeah that's happens with me with a lot of foods, sometimes I feel like I'm going to like a certain drink, buy it, realize how shitty it is.

Tomatoes, I like the products made from those but as a "fruit" itself...bleh!

I can honestly say ive never been offered a mango.

But id enjoy it because i enjoy them.
