Hope everyone is having a nice weekend! It snowed a little yesterday so it's starting to finally feel like winter. Bob had a holiday party and Tim deep fried two turkeys, flavor-injected with buffalo sauce. GOOD STUFF.
Today's daily Wacom tablet winner is Wei Xing, aka WX!
WX has had a huge following for his Counter-Strike stick movies, which all started with these two in 2003:
He followed up with the insanely popular DE series, with these insanely popular movies:
He also briefly ventured away from sticks in 2005, with Siege Outbreak:
WX is now at university, pursuing his dream of animating full-time. He wants to make the change to a tablet and start drawing full-bodied characters. Considering most of his movies were made between the ages of 14 and 15, I'm excited to see how WX progresses with his university classes and a tablet!
I'll be posting every day from now until Christmas Eve, with daily Wacom winners and other assorted news.
Check out these other Wacom winners:

I still can't believe these people didn't have tablets before.
I'm looking forward to 2009!
TOM DEEP FRIED BUFFALO SAUCE INJECTED TURKEY IS NOT GOOD FOR YOUR STOMACH PROBLEMS.
Word to your mother
I dont really care for stick animators... so i hope this tablet encourages him to persue non stick animation. Congrats.
Hehe I saw the first of his DE series some years ago. I forgot all about it untill a new one was put on frontpage some weeks ago. Months maybe?
Quality stickmovies. Now that he has won a tablet I hope he'll use it for something different than sticks though. His movie Siege Outbreak was very cool aswel, I hope to see more stuff like that.
Congrats WX (:
Us English hardly have any snow, least not any in Liverpool...The Scots have TOO much snow. (Poor kilt wearing Scots.)
You live on such a tiny island, at least Gilligan explored his! You're just drawing a tiny circle around your mud hut and saying everything outside it is totally gay.
It's really weird, I was just thinking the other day, what would Wei Xing do if he got a tablet? Anyways, congrats on it! Love your animations.

Definitely. I don't think that stick animators should get tablets unless they're going to try and advance to something that's less stick and more artistic.
MY E-PENIS IS BIGGER THAN YOURS
...and this is my fag...
HURRAY! He is the reason I have my account name and he gets a prize!
For my next trick, I will need a condom and a volunteer.

Oh shut up both of you!
Ive been watching his stuff now for only a few days and for the past week or so everyday ive watched DE_Dust 2 like 3 times and i was just thinking last night, God i hope he wins one!
I was pleased to see this.
WX's work has been consistently brilliant, poking fun at the Counter Strike series without turning it into a complete parody, by including some great fight scenes and injecting it with cinematic style.
Congratulations WX, you've earned it. B)
Thanks everyone, and tom!
I realise that most my movies on newgrounds have been sticks, but I AM MOVING ON. I used sticks for one main reason, to learn and improve my animation skills, to get a character across the screen, etc for as many frames as I can tolerate drawing.
With the success of DE_dust2, I'm calling that my final stick flick and will be moving on to non-sticks and also 3D animation. I've also been taking alot of life drawing classes at uni and this wacom will help translate my drawings onto the computer screen, so yay!
I'm hoping to release a non-stick movie in May 2009 to show my appreciation, so watch out for it :).
