I'm still all poppy when it comes to hardcore punk - I like Sick of it All and Oi Polloi and stuff like that. Choking Victim maybe, or Leftover Crack? I'm sure you've heard of all the Hardcore bands I like. I know nothing about punk, to be honest.

not exactly sure what kind of hardcore you might be talking about, but some good bands in that genre would be:
cradle of filth
nekromantix
tiger army

but those are just random bands off the top of my head...

Rammstein. German sounds more hardcore than English. Plus there songs have serious meanings and can still remain heavy and again, hardcore.

If you want a hard core band it's Neurobox. There's more but I don't know if you want to know them.

Mostly punk, but I'm open to some metal

To get an idea of the music I'm talking about, there are some bands from my town that are called Since by Man and Seven Days of Samsara. But mp3.com is down, so I think you can find them on file sharing. They're good!

Hatebreed, among other bands, is a little too far for me. In my opinion it's when the good music gets replaced by constant screaming and puking

I understand what you mean. I can stand Hatebreed, but I can’t stand stuff like Cannibal Corpse and Cradle of Filth. Too much crap. I guess you wouldn’t like Motograter then.

But you might get a kick out of Killswitch Engage.

I fully agree with this list as well as Hatebreed.

More bands:
Dead Kennedys
Give Up The Ghost
American Nightmare (same band as Give Up The Ghost)
Floorpunch
Earth Crisis
The Exploited
The Varukers
Sick On The Bus
Rise Against
Swallowing Shit
Stretch Arm Strong
Bad Brains
Suicidal Tendencies
Black Flag
The Descendents
Blood For Blood

Check out victory records too. http://www.victoryrecords.com/ As far as hardcore goes, I trust that label 100%.

Here's a few suggestions: Dead Kennedys, Operation Ivy, Rancid, The Clash, The Ramones, and The Sex Pistols.

Also listen to The Casualties and The Exploited, as they are pretty hardcore too. Enjoy.

Never thought Rancid clash ramones and the sex pistols to be considered "hardcore" bands but they are pretty cool for old school punk.

People have an odd definition of what they see as "hardcore". >:\ http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg...70311061926011620&sql=C368

I'm not much of one for a lot of hardcore music, and to tell you the truth, I don't really like punk much either. When I do get in the mood for something a bit extreme and heavy, which does happen now and then, I'll listen to some Cradle of Filth, Amorphis, Deicide or Morbid Angel. It doesn't happen very often.

My friend knows System of a down. Yeah it was during 96 when the L.A. band tour was going on. My friend was in this band called Chinga monkey but now it's another band. In 96 the bands were System of a down, Rage against the machine, and there's more just forgot them though. If you don't belivie me. System fans if you have the first System CD. Check the little book lit and go to the speacil thanks to the bands and read though it till you find Chinga monkey.
